I’m so excited to share with you a brand new contributor series I’m writing for Enchanted Homeschooling Mom, called Kids in the Kitchen! Through this series, I encourage you to “Embrace the Mess, Encourage Success, and Equip for Life”. Each month the boys and I will walk you through a featured recipe, which will be available as a FREE printable. For this month’s series launch, I’m also including a fun GIVEAWAY!

Kids in the Kitchen - Embrace the Mess, Encourage Succes, Equip for Life

Kids in the Kitchen is inspired by a passion for family cooking, relationship building and teaching our children necessary life skills. If you haven’t already, you’ll discover that kids of any age love the opportunity to be in the kitchen with you and given the right support and coaching love to help.

In this month’s edition of Kids in the Kitchen, I confess to being one of those moms whenever the kids came into the kitchen. You know the type who hovers and worries and obsesses about the mess about to happen and ultimately just ends up stepping in and doing it herself. I encourage you, whether you’re a free spirited mom or a mom like me who’s learning to embrace the mess, to join me on this rewarding journey with our kids in the kitchen.

For our first recipe I share a treasured family recipe, my 94-year old Grandma’s Buttermilk Pancakes. The twins and I take you step-by-step on making the perfect, delicious, golden, yummy pancake. I’ve included a FREE printable download of the recipe for you to add to your own recipe book.

As I mentioned earlier, I am also including a fun GIVEAWAY to launch the series. My mom is a very talented seamstress and made the twins adorable aprons, with custom embroidery by a dear family friend. I’m thrilled to be able to offer one of these personalized aprons to you!

I am the proud mama to 3 incredible boys. Our family began our homeschooling journey in 2006 when my oldest was in 2nd grade and the twins were barely 6 months old. I’m passionate about researching resources and activities that allow my children to use all of their senses and learning styles.
